Conficker – Will it impact your business?
On the night of March 31st, all Trendworks IT support customers had their Windows-based servers & workstations automatically patched as a security measure to protect against the Conficker virus. This patch was performed at no charge as a preemptive measure to ensure this virus has the least-possible impact on the networks we serve.
Details about the Conficker virus have been widely publicized, and it is set to manifest itself on April Fool’s Day, but what it is capable of is still unknown.
Trendworks regularly implements strict security measures on IT infrastructure we support by maintaining up-to-date virus definitions, software patches, and configuring defensive firewalls. We believe because of this devotion to security, your network stands the best chance of not being impacted by this virus.
